Warren William Shearer was the son of William Conrad and Dorothy (Jane) Koons. He was born January 14, 1906 and died August 14, 1985. He graduated from Port Royal High School in the Class of 1924. He was married to Jessie Linda Boyer and Mabel C. Grunet.
OBITUARY for WARREN WILLIAM “MO” SHEARER
WARREN W. SHEARER, 79, of 610 Courtland Street, York, died Wednesday, August 14 [1985] at York Hospital.
He was born in Port Royal to the late William C. and Dorothy Koons Shearer. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Mabel C. Shearer.
Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. John Rearich, York; Mrs. Jack Horstick, Dover, Delaware and Mrs. Ralph Hoover, Port Royal; three step sons: Jack M. Grunet, York; Cecil C. Grunet, York and Edward T. Blymire, York; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He retired in 1971 after 27 years as a clerk at the information desk in the Baltimore station of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway, Harrisburg, Lodge 421 and Masonic Lodge 321.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Baumister and Orcutt Mortuary, Queen and Jackson Streets, York. Interment was in Mt. Rose Cemetery, York.
