Jessie Carola Kohler was the daughter of Warren Motz and Mary Edna (McCormick) Kohler. She was born April 25, 1912 and died April 25, 2007. She graduated from Port Royal High School in the Class of 1930. She was married to Warren Harvey "Bookie" Book.
OBITUARY for JESSIE CAROLA KOHLER BOOK
JESSIE C. BOOK, 95, of Prospect Road, Sugarloaf, PA, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.
Born April 25, 1912 in Port Royal, she was the daughter of the late Warren M. and Mary E. (McCormick) Kohler.
Her husband, Warren H. Book, preceded her in death.
She had resided in Sugarloaf for the past eight years, after moving from Muncy.
Surviving are: a daughter, Barbara Mahon and husband Richard of Pennsdale; a son, Donald C. Book of Sugarloaf; six grandchildren, Brent, Lance and Garth Book. Amy Book Minzola, and James and Briana Cheunes; and nine great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Darwin Kohler, Warren Kohler and John Kohler.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Book was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Grove. She was also a member of the Muncy Lodge of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a Girl Scout Leader in Muncy.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 27 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Grove, with her grandson, the Rev. Brent Book, and her pastor, the Rev. Stanley Bower officiating. Burial was in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
The Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), Rock Glen, assisted the family with arrangements.
