Warren Harvey "Bookie" Book was the son of Grover Clayton and Martha Lillian (Gray) Book. He was born March 15, 1911 and died about April 22, 1983. He graduated from Port Royal High School in the Class of 1930. He was married to Jessie Carola Kohler.
OBITUARY for WARREN HARVEY BOOK
WARREN H. BOOK, 72, of Muncy RD4, died at 4:10 pm Friday, April 22, [1983] in the Muncy Valley Hospital Geriatric Unit, where he had lived for four and a half years.
Born March 15, 1911, at Port Royal, he was a son of G. Clayton and Lillian Gray Book.
He was graduated from Port Royal High School.
In 1963 he retired as a state sales representative for U. S. S. Agri-Chemical Co., Harrisburg, where he had been employed 35 years.
Mr. Book was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church and served many years on the church council.
A member of Muncy Lodge 299, F&AM, Mr. Book also was a member of the Williamsport Consistory, Williamsport Shrine Club and Irem Temple Shrine, Wilkes-Barre.
Mr. Book was a member of the Consolidated Sportsmen of Lycoming County and had served as a director of the Pennsylvania State Agronomy Association.
Serving are his wife, the former Jessie Kohler; a son, Donald C., of Sugar Loaf; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara A. Cheunes, of Clifton Springs, N.Y.; a sister Nellie Harder, of Harrisburg and six grandchildren.
The funeral was held Monday morning (April 25) at Wallis' 121 S. Main St., with the Rev. Philip S. Lanbdin, his pastor officiating, followed by a further service at 2 pm in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
