Dr. Neal Schorr, MD is a family medicine specialist in Wexford, PA and has over 40 years of experience in the medical field. He received his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in 1982.

In addition to being a Medical Practitioner, Dr. Schorr is also an O-Gauge Model Railroad enthusiast. He says that his biggest modeling success has been accurately reproducing the Middle Division (Harrisburg to Altoona) of the Main Line of the Pennsylvania Railroad including the physical plant of the railroad, the scenery of central Pennsylvania, and many of the towns along the route, Port Royal being one of those towns.

In Port Royal, Dr. Schorr paid particular attention to his modeling of the now dismantled 1910 Route 75 Railroad Bridge. He said that he and his son Steven made numerous trips to Port Royal to insure the accuracy of his model. He has been kind enough to share photos of his handiwork for this site.

Modeling of the Route 75 PRR Bridge in Port Royal as it appeared in 1957. The model is made out of commercial grade styrene plastic sheet, and is highly accurate. Many trips were made to the bridge, where it was photographed and measured to help insure the accuracy. (Photo courtesy of Dr. Neal Schorr)
