Peggy W. Love, 68, of East Waterford, passed at her home in the early morning on Sunday, September 13, 2015.

Born on September 19, 1946 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of Miriam (Taylor) Wert, of Old Port and the late Marlin Wert. On June 1, 1964, she married her surviving husband, Norman F. Love, with whom she was blessed to share more than 51 years of marriage.

Surviving are her children, Clifford S. Love and his wife Lori, of Moravia, N.Y., Daniel T. Love and his fiancé Dianna McClintock, of East Waterford, Joseph A. Love and his wife Rachel, of Williamsport, MD, Jennie R. Love, of Philadelphia, PA. Also surviving are a sister, Susan Vogt and her husband Harold, of Hummelstown, PA; beloved mother in law, Miriam Love of East Waterford, and five precious grandchildren, Seth Love, Eliza Love, Mallie Love, Nathaniel Love and Natalie Love.

She had been employed as a teller at the East Waterford branch of the First National Bank of Mifflintown. As the third generation of the Love family, she, along with her husband, also owned and operated the Love-Land farm.

Peggy was a very active member of the East Waterford Presbyterian Church, where she was an Elder, taught Sunday school and volunteered regularly with a Christian program, Release Time, at Lack-Tuscarora Elementary School.

Peggy was very creative and always keen to try something new. She loved to paint, do pottery, sew, garden, arrange flowers, and was an excellent cook and baker. She was a wonderful wife and devoted mother first and foremost. Her community involvement was also of the utmost importance to her. As such, she and her husband were just honored this past fourth of July as the Grand Marshalls of the East Waterford parade.

A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from the East Waterford Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John C. Park officiating. Interment will be private and held in the East Waterford Cemetery, East Waterford.

Viewing will be held from 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 until the time of service at the East Waterford Presbyterian Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
