She had been employed as a teller at the East Waterford branch of the First National Bank of Mifflintown. As the third generation of the Love family, she, along with her husband, also owned and operated the Love-Land farm.
Peggy was a very active member of the East Waterford Presbyterian Church, where she was an Elder, taught Sunday school and volunteered regularly with a Christian program, Release Time, at Lack-Tuscarora Elementary School.
Peggy was very creative and always keen to try something new. She loved to paint, do pottery, sew, garden, arrange flowers, and was an excellent cook and baker. She was a wonderful wife and devoted mother first and foremost. Her community involvement was also of the utmost importance to her. As such, she and her husband were just honored this past fourth of July as the Grand Marshalls of the East Waterford parade.
