Elizabeth “Libby” Baker-Mikesell is the daughter of Drs. MeeCee Baker and Robert Mikesell. She is also the granddaughter of longtime Port Royal area residents the late Bob and Dot (Gilson) Baker and niece of the late Beth Baker. Libby lives in Turbett Township on the Baker Farm. She was elected president of the student body of the St. Stephens Episcopal Middle School and graduated as the eighth grade valedictorian. She enjoys reading, her 4-H beef projects, running in 5K races, church activities at Port Royal Lutheran, and babysitting.
Libby was born on September 25, 1997, and after a rough delivery was air lifted to the Geisinger Neonatal Unit in Danville. Throughout her childhood, she appreciated the opportunity to join the County Legend Band on stage in an effort to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network.

WINS STATE FFA HONORS: During the 2016 State Farm Show, Libby won the state Star Award in the Agriculture Division. She was chosen out of 387 applicants.

NATIONAL FFA FINALIST: Photo of "Libby" that appeared in the December 4, 2013 edition of the Juniata Sentinel. The article focuses on the Greenwood High School Sophomore qualifying as a national finalist in the 2013 National FFA Convention and Expo held Oct. 30 through Nov. 2, 2013. She had won first place in the state level which qualified her to compete at the national level where she earned a second place award.
