OBITUARY for MARGARET "MAGGIE" DYSINGER GILSON

MARGARET E. "MAGGIE" GILSON, 77, Main Street, Port Royal, died Wednesday, October 8 [1975] at Lewistown Hospital. She was born July 31, 1898 in Juniata County to the late David and Julia Leister Dysinger.

Her husband, William H. Gilson, survives along with two daughters, Mrs. Hurley (Sara) Burchfield, Mifflintown; Mrs. George (Helen) Macknair, 200 Shaw Ave., Lewistown; two sons. Dr. John L. Mechanicsburg, and Robert G., Coatesville. Other survivors include a brother, Blair Dysinger, Thompsontown R.D.1; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Rena) Smith, Mifflintown R.D. 2, and 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Gilson was a member of Port Royal Presbyterian Church and its Ladies Auxiliary, Turbett Grange 781. Earline Rebekah Lodge 445, and Ladies Auxiliary to Friendship Fire Company.

A funeral service was held Saturday afternoon at Port Royal Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Eugene W. Stambaugh and Rev. Richard H. Burchfield, grandson of Mrs. Gilson officiating. Interment was made at New Church Hill Cemetery. Rebekah Lodge services were held Friday evening at the Rex Funeral Home.
