MIFFLIN - Donna M. (Boyer) Posavec Bohn, 73, of Mifflin, formerly of Harrisburg and Camp Hill, died peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at home.
Mrs. Bohn was born Dec. 14, 1938, in Port Royal, and was the daughter of the late Wayne M. and Isabel P. (Anders) Boyer.
She was a former employee of Neumyer Funeral Home, in Harrisburg, and Myers Funeral Home, in Mechanicsburg. She was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, in Harrisburg, and a former member of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque Parish.
She was a kind and caring person who went out of her way to help others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, watching NASCAR and bird watching.
Donna was predeceased by her brother, Barry Boyer.
She is survived by: her husband of 30 years, Wayne E. Bohn; two sons, David (Suzanna) Posavec, of Harrisburg, and Thomas (Nicole) Posavec, of Harrisburg; two stepdaughters, Peggy (Geoff) Shuff, of Lewisberry, and Denise (Chris) Herich, of San Diego, Calif.; granddaughters, Lexi Cantone and Katherine and Sofia Posavec; grandsons, Noah Hoffman, Leo Posavec and Ryan, Matthew and Nathan Herich; a sister, Jane Kapsa, of Denton, Texas; two brothers, Jack (Mary Ann) Boyer, of Port Royal, and Thomas (Claudia) Boyer, of New Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at the Stone and Murray Funeral Home, 408 Third St., New Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 2121 N. Third St., Harrisburg. The Rev. Paul M. Schenck will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in Adams Cemetery, Walker Township, Juniata County.
