OBITUARY for MARY K. (WISEHAUPT) NIPPLE

Mary K. Nipple, 90, of Port Royal passed away on Monday, February 23rd,2026 at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.

Born on August 29, 1935, in Halfmoon, Spruce Hill Township, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Wisehaupt and Margreta (Towsey) Wisehaupt. She was preceded in death her husband, Simon David Nipple who passed away on March 5th, 1989.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Shearer and husband, Reynolds as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Ruth Rowe, David Wisehaupt, Joseph Larry Wisehaupt.

Mary was a graduate of Tuscarora Valley High School in 1953.

She was employed for thirty-five years by the Commonwealth of PA.

Mrs. Nipple was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church, Mifflin Chapter 260, Order of the Eastern Star, Mifflintown, and currently was a member of the Perry Chapter 459, Order of the Eastern Star, New Bloomfield.

She enjoyed playing pinochle, taking trips to Atlantic City, bus trips, concerts at the Fair and shopping. Mary liked to be out and about and was a social butterfly.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 27th, 2026 at Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown. Interment is private in Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
