OBITUARY for ALAN J. "AJ" FROMM

Alan J. "AJ" Fromm, 69, of Port Royal, passed away at 7:37 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at his residence.

Born on October 9, 1948 in Sunbury, Northumberland County, he was a son of the late Albert F. and Vera L. (Powell) Fromm. He is survived by his wife, Helen (Hower) Fromm with whom he was blessed to share 30 years of marriage.

Mr. Fromm is survived by two daughters, Tonda R. Woodling and her husband, Michael Falcone of Douglassville, and Heather A. Fromm of Carlisle; a brother, Jeffrey E. Fromm and his wife Barbara of Shamokin Dam; a sister, Lisa D. Fromm of Dayton, OH; one granddaughter, Rio K. Falcone; and two nephews who were also his godsons, Sean and Seth Zellers.

Mr. Fromm was a proud Vietnam veteran and honorably served our country in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Torpedo man Third Class.

AJ was employed and retired as a State Trooper with the Pennsylvania State Police. After his retirement, he worked for the Williamsport Courthouse Court Security and various federal government agencies.

He was a member and attended Port Royal Lutheran Church and also was a member of the Retired Police Association of Pennsylvania. AJ enjoyed working in his yard, golfing, going to the races, and the beach, but most importantly, he cherished the time spent with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Port Royal Lutheran Church, 402 Market St., Port Royal with the Reverend Allen Hulslander officiating. Interment will follow at the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal, where military burial honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council.

A viewing will be held from 6 ? 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Fromm?s memory can be made to the Port Royal Lutheran Church, 402 Market Street, Port Royal, PA 17082 or to Homeland at Home Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Suite 270, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
