OBITUARY for WILLIAM D. “BILL” REYNOLDS

PORT ROYAL - William D. Reynolds, 75, of Port Royal, died the morning of Monday, July 27, 2009, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, in Mifflin.

Born Dec. 13, 1933, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, he was the son of the late John Everett and Freda M. (Jamison) Reynolds.

His wife, Beulah F. (Foltz) Reynolds, whom he married on June 12, 1953, survives.

Also surviving are: a son, Kevin D. Reynolds and his wife, Michelle, of York; a daughter, Janice R. Klinger and her husband, Allen, of Lititz; four grandchildren, Erin and Sara Reynolds, and Megan and Austin Klinger; and one sister, Louise R. Yetter and her husband, Larry, of Mifflintown.

He was preceded in death by: an infant son, Craig Alan Reynolds; and his stepmother, Cyrene P. Reynolds.

He was a 1951 graduate of Fayette High School, McAlisterville. William was a self-employed flooring and tile installer for many years.

He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, having served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council and was a former treasurer.

His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Port Royal Lutheran Church, in Port Royal, with the Rev. Charles L. Hershberger officiating. Interment will be in Lost Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, McAlisterville. Graveside military service will be conducted by the Juniata County Veterans Council.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rex Funeral Home, 308 Market Street, Port Royal.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Port Royal Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 267, Port Royal, PA 17082.
