Verna Z. Goodman, 76, of 613 Market St., Port Royal, died in the morning on Monday, June 18, 1990, at her home.
Born April 18, 1914, in Bellwood, Blair County, she was a daughter of the late Charley C. and Lena May (Jacobs) Love. Her husband, W. W. “Jack” Goodman, preceded her in death on June 23, 1977.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Harold [Jackie] Miller, Port Royal RD2; one son, William Goodman, Hallsville, MO; one brother E. K. Love, Port Royal; one sister Mrs. Vivian Beaston, East Waterford; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marjorie V. Goodman, in 1946 and one brother, Forrest M. Moyer, in 1984.
She was a retired cook, having been employed by the Juniata County School District for 20 years. She was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. Steven Nelson officiating. Interment was in the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
