Helen C. Barton was one of four children of Josiah Frank and Alvie M. (Steuart) Barton. She was born in 1902 and died in 1983. She was married to Dwight B. Hower and they had four children: Elaine, Dwight Jr. "Bud", Frank "Hank", Stanley.
