OBITUARY for EDWINA P. "EDDIE" BRYNER

Edwina P. "Eddie" Bryner, 94, of Port Royal, passed away at 10:52 a.m. on Monday, May 31, 2021 at her residence.

Born on April 21, 1927, in Hollidaysburg, Blair Co., she was a daughter of the late Paul Robert and Mary (Fulton) Johnson. On June 10, 1944 she married her late husband, Gerald B. "Bud" Bryner, with whom she was blessed to share 71 years of marriage before his passing on July 12, 2015.

Surviving are her daughter, Connie B. Fenner, of Port Royal; two grandchildren, Jeffrey S. Bryner and his fiance Jamie Brown of Port Royal and Shannon Bryner and her husband Kevin Valentine of Stafford, VA; one great granddaughter, Mandy N. Bryner of Selinsgrove; and a former daughter in law, Karen Chipps of Warrenton, VA.

One son, Stephen B. Bryner, one great grandson, Patrick S. Bryner, and one brother, William Nevin Johnson preceded her in death.

Eddie was employed and retired as a Cafeteria Cook with the Juniata County School District serving at Juniata High School in Mifflintown and later at the former Tuscarora Valley Elementary School in Port Royal.

Mrs. Bryner was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church, the Humane Society of the U.S., the SPCA, and in earlier life, was a very active member of the Juniata Cultural Arts Society and the Lost Creek Golf Club.

Her hobbies included going to the races, especially attending her great grandson, Patrick?s Go Kart and Super Late Model races, and in earlier life was an avid golfer.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 from the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal, with the Rev. Richard A. Adams officiating.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Bryner?s memory to UPMC Home Healthcare of Central PA and Family Hospice, 20 Sheraton Drive, Altoona, PA 16601; or to the Port Royal Lutheran Church, 402 Market St., Port Royal, PA 17082; or to a Local Animal Charity (R.O.F.F., Juniata Pet Pantry, or PCoAR.)

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
