Deanna Amspacker was the daughter of Kenneth and Luella (Snook) Amspacker. She was married to Charles G. "Sonny" McCahan.
OBITUARY for DEANNA AMSPACKER ‘DEE’ MCCAHAN
PORT ROYAL - Deanna A. "Dee" McCahan, 74, of Port Royal, died at 10:44 p.m., on Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Lewistown Hospital.
Born on March 12, 1937, in Yeagertown, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Luella (Snook) Amspacker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. "Sonny" McCahan, who died on Jan. 30, 1998.
Dee leaves behind a son and daughter, Matthew S. McCahan of Port Royal and Mrs. James (Cheri) Bogart of Glen Rock.
She also leaves behind a brother, Dallas Amspacker of Yeagertown and three grandchildren, Alec, Justin and Zachary Bogart.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Amspacker.
Dee was a graduate of Chief Logan High School, Yeagertown. She was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church, the Port Royal Literary Guild and the Port Royal Book Club.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. Charles L. Hershberger officiating.
Interment will be held at Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
Viewing will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, Aug. 26, at the funeral home.
