Bertha Kepner was the daughter of John Sigel and Mary Hallie (Boyer) Kepner.

OBITUARY for MISS BERTHA E. KEPNER

PORT ROYAL: Miss. Bertha E. Kepner, 84. of Fourth Street, died at 10 p.m. Sunday at her home.

She was born June 7, 1893 in Turbett Township Juniata County, a daughter of the late J Seigle Kepner and Hallie Boyer Kepner.

Surviving are sisters and brothers, Mrs. Margaretta Line, Akron, Oh.; Mrs. Anna B. Klugh, Harrisburg; Homer S. Kepner, Landstown, Lehman O. Kepner, Massachusetts; Charles W. Kepner, Palm Beach, Fla.

She was a retired licensed practical nurse who had worked for 43 years in Philadelphia and Princeton, N.J. She also worked for six years as a nurse for former first lady, Mrs. Grover Cleveland Preston.

She was a member of the Port Royal Presbyterian Church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Rex Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eugene W. Stambaugh officiating. Burial will be in New Church Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of service.
