John Brackbill was the son of William and Ellen Hartman Brackbill. Born March 27, 1845, died June 28, 1918. He was a carpenter and a Methodist. He married Catherine Esh, daugther of John and Leah Yoder Esh. Catherine was born March 27, 1845 and died May 7, 1905. They had two daughters- Mary Edna who married Norman L. Taylor and Nellie Leah who married D. Clinton Titzel.
