OBITUARY for EARL ROSS WEIMER

E. Ross Weimer, 85, of Port Royal R.D. 2, died Sunday, Feb. 25 [1973] at 12 a.m. at his home.

Born Sept. 11, 1887, at Port Royal R.D., he was a son of the late Samuel Rice and Clara Jacobs Weimer.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ritzman Weimer; one son, William Ross, of Port Royal RD2; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Mary Jane) Holton, of Western Springs, Ill., and Mrs. Robert (Martha) Lindenberger, of Port Royal RD2; one brother, Roy of Port Royal RD1; one sister, Mrs. Helen Lindsay, of Mifflintown RD; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.

Mr. Weimer was a retired farmer and a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church, Turbett Grange, and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, 131 of Mifflintown.

Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Rex Funeral Home at Port Royal with Pastor Henry Springer officiating. Interment will be made in the Old Church Hill Cemetery at Port Royal. Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. IOOF services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 9 p.m.

William Ross Weimer, son of Earl Ross Weimer, was born Sept. 4, 1926, deceased Aug. 27, 2009. He is the father of William Ross Weimer, Jr.
