OBITUARY for HAROLD F. HARTMAN

Harold F. Hartman Sr., 90, of 313 Milford Street, Port Royal died Wednesday, October 26 [1988] at the Lewistown Hospital.

He was born December 1, 1897 in Chicago, III. and was a son of the late John Frederick and Emma Dora (Gerhardt) Hartman. Martha (Crozier) Hartman, his wife, whom he married November 27, 1936, survives.

Also surviving are: children, Harold F. Hartman, Jr., Oak Ridge, Tenn., Lt. Col. Ferdinand Q Hartman II. Boston Mass, Mrs. Gary (Marianna) Ewert, Calumet, Mich., Mrs William (Amelia) McElwee Trenton. N J and eight grandchildren.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

He was the owner and operator of the Port Royal Silk Mill for several years, and was later employed at Standard Steel as a Lubrication engineer retiring in 1963

He was a member of the F&AM Lodge 702, Herndon, Friendship Fire Company, Port Royal, Port Royal Senior Citizens Center and a life member of the Port Royal Ambulance Club

Services were held Sunday at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal with Rev. John E. Halderman officiating. Interment is in the Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal, PA
