Ruth Elizabeth Boyer was the daughter of George Washington and Mary Ellen (Calhoun) Boyer. She was born January 28, 1904 and died January 22, 1998. She graduated from Port Royal High School in the Class of 1924. She was married to Alton Luther Meloy and they had three daughters: Betty, Carol and Gayle.
