Mark Allen Stitt was the son of Seward James and Maggie Belle (Allen) Stitt. He was born September 21, 1910 and died July 17, 1999. He graduated from Port Royal High School in the Class of 1929. He was married to Clara Leib.

OBITUARY for M. ALLEN STITT

M. ALLEN STITT, 88, of Springettsbury Township, [York Co., PA] died 12:05 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 1999 at Manor Care Health Service Kingston Court.

He was the husband of Clara (Leib) Stitt. The couple observed their 61st Wedding Anniversary on April 23rd.

Mr. Stitt was born Sept. 21, 1910 in McCoysville, Juniata County. He was the son of Seward James and Maggie Belle (Allen) Stitt. He was preceded in death by a sister Margaret S. Gray and a brother W. Brooks Stitt. He is survived by a niece and a nephew.

He was office manager at D. F. Stauffer Biscuit Co. Inc., retiring in 1973 after more than 43 years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of York, where he was former deacon, a greeter for many years and a member of the Niles Bible Class, a member and past president of Mount Rose Lions Club, life member of Victory Fire Company, South East Chapter 1246 of American Association of Retired Persons, White Rose Post 556 of Veterans of Foreign Wars graduate of Thompson Business School and a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II.

Services were held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 20 at the John Calvin Memorial Chapel of First Presbyterian Church of York, 225 E. Market St., York. Officiating at the service was his pastor. Rev. Dr. John E. Morgan. Burial was in Mount Rose Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of York, 225 E. Market St.. York, PA 17403.

The Etzweiler Funeral Home, 111 E. Market Street, York, was in charge of arrangements.
