Isabel Pearl Anders was the daughter of Charles Frederick and Bertha C. (Donahey) Anders. She was born May 1, 1911 and died January 17, 1988. She graduated from Port Royal High School in the Class of 1929. She was married to Stewart E. "Stew" Kirkwood, Wayne Montgomery "Red" Boyer and Stewart E. "Stew" Kirkwood a second time.

Isabel was co-valedictorian at Port Royal High School, class of 1929. Musically talented, she played piano with the Floyd Bashore Dance Band in the 1930s, and later was church organist for over twenty years at the Port Royal Methodist Church. She owned and operated Boyers Restaurants from the early 1930s until 1952, and later retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania after twenty years of service. She was the mother of Jane Kirkwood, Donna, Barry, Jack and Thomas Boyer.
