Market St - Looking East from 3rd Street

Click On Image To Enlarge At the far right of this picture is the building which first served as a bank and later as the post office. These pictures was taken from the intersection of Market and Third Streets. This intersection represents the center of commercial activity in the town. The 1929 photo shows a building with a roof over the sidewalk. Eventually this building would become a restaurant and drug store. However the building does not appear in the 2009 photo because it was destroyed by fire.

	Contributed by rkohler3 on 8/30/09 - Image Year: 1929 Looking Toward the Bridge from Third Street. (If you look closely at the Railroad Bridge Ramp in the distance, you will see that there is a walkway on the right side of the ramp. This was likely removed when vehicular traffic became heavier. Since then there is a walkway only on the left side of the ramp.)
