This photo shows Emma McClure at the Port Royal Evangelical Lutheran Church's Fair Stand on September 11, 1960. For many years Mrs. McClure would cut and plate pies at the Stand as orders were received from the customers. (Photo supplied by Dorice Pontius)

Emma Jane GRONINGER was the daughter of George W. and Amanda J. (Rhine) Groninger. She was born January 28, 1878 and died in 1968. She was married to George Orthy McClure and they had six children: Lillian Mildred, Margaretta Jane, Leone Ruth, Elliott Orthy, Jessie Elizabeth and Esther Mae.

During her later years she resided in a small house immediately west of the Lutheran Parsonage on Market Street in Port Royal.
