OBITUARY for ANN ELIZA BARNARD HENCH
MRS STEWART HENCH, an aged and highly respected resident of Turbett Township, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. B. Kilmer, at Old Port Royal, early Monday morning, June 10, 1929, following a stroke of paralysis sustained the previous day.
Mrs. Hench was born Feb. 7, 1844, at Pleasant View, PA, and was a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Hoke Brainard [someone crossed out Brainard and penciled in Barnard]. She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Samuel Kilmer of Old Port; Mrs. C. Hench of Reading, PA; Mrs. Samuel Showers of Harrisburg, and Mrs. Roy Ranck, of Oakland Mills.
She was a member of the Port Royal Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. B. Kilmer, at Old Port, Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock and will be conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. L. Robison, after which interment will be made in Church Hill Cemetery.
