PORT ROYAL – Jay H. Thompson, 52, of Mifflintown RD 1, died Friday in Lewistown Hospital.

He was a retired laboratory technician for PennDOT and a member of the Port Royal Ambulance Club, Friendship Fire Company and Port Royal United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Erma P. Thompson; two daughters, Laurie S. and JaLene Y., both at home; two brothers, Lawrence D. of Liverpool and Wayne R. of Mifflin, two sisters, Mrs. Doris Gill of Mexico and Mrs. Nellie Jones of Thompsontown RD 1.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Rex Funeral Home here with the Revs. M. Eugene Heidler and Paul E Isaacs officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Unit of Lewistown Hospital 17044
