OBITUARY for SHIRLEY A. YODER
Shirley A. Yoder, 79, of Port Royal, passed away at 2:50 AM, Friday, December 20, 2024, at Brookline Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Mifflintown.
Born on August 9, 1945, in Elizabethtown, Lancaster Co., she was a daughter of the late Roy and Carrie (Evans) Manahan.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Yoder; children, James Gulick, Susanna Buchanan and her husband Larry, Margaret Guyer, and Howard Gulick and his wife, Stephanie; one stepdaughter, Kimberly Hardy and her husband James; siblings, Terry Manahan, Kenny Manahan, Craig Manahan, Billy Fratangeli; grandchildren, Jonathan Klinedinst, Larry Buchanan, Jr., Trace Gulick, Miles Gulick, Evan Wise, Tyler Yoder, Taylor Hardy; and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta Klinedinst; her stepfather, Frank Fratangeli; two sisters, Donna Culbert and Vicki Grundon; and one-half brother, Tony Fratangeli.
She was the owner of Shirley’s Little Café in Port Royal.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Nook.
Shirley enjoyed sewing and quilting, working in her rose garden when health permitted, and enjoyed her winter getaways to Florida and will be remembered for being charitable to her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with the Rev. Allen Hulslander officiating. Interment will be private.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of the memorial services at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 18 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Yoder’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
