PORT ROYAL: Jack T. Roddey, 14, of Port Royal, died Friday, January 16, 2009, in Port Royal.
He was born Oct. 26, 1994, and is survived by his father and stepmother, Patrick E. and Christina S. (Ewalt) Goss of Port Royal; his mother, Danusia C. Roddey of Lewistown; two stepbrothers, Michael Kibe of Port Royal and Dustin E. Goss of York; his grandparents and stepgrandparents, Ken and Marian Casner of Mifflintown, Madeline Roselle of Lewistown, William and Nancy Roddey of Burnham, and Bob and Dollie Ewalt of Port Royal; and great-grandmothers, Mildred Roddey of Huntingdon and Dorothy Mae Wileman of Mifflintown.
He was an eighth-grade student at Tuscarora Junior High School. He was a member of the Port Royal soccer and baseball teams, enjoyed playing video games and was a Port Royal race fan.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Cedar Grove Brethren In Christ Church, Mifflintown with Rev. Frank Swartz officiating. Interment will be in Adams Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Port Royal Lions Club, in care of George Stake, 2242 Lions Club Park Road, Port Royal, PA 17082.
