OBITUARY for Patricia Lucille Thompson of Port Royal Pennsylvania [who] peacefully passed away with her loving family at her side after an unexpected illness.
She was born at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton NJ on 10/31/1944 where she later graduated from Nursing school.
She started working as an RN in pediatric critical care and ultimately worked the rest of her career in various doctor’s offices while she raised her family.
She married Jerry Thompson in 1970 and moved to Beachwood NJ where they lived happily for 40 years before retiring to Port Royal in their beautiful log cabin in 2008. They celebrated their 54th Wedding Anniversary this past January.
She was predeceased by her parents Aldo and Genevieve Capotosti.
Surviving are her husband Jerry and 2 daughters. Sandra Thompson of Lawrenceville NJ, Stacie Herman and husband Bill Herman of Galloway NJ, and grandchildren Brandon, Samantha, and Zoey. Also surviving are her twin brothers David Capotosti (Sherry) of Tuscon Arizona and John Capotosti (Eileen) of Williamstown NJ, brother-in-law Bruce Thompson of Lumberton NJ and sister-in-law Beverly Pampinini (Ronald) of Columbus NJ and several nieces and nephews.
Earlier in life she enjoyed countless hobbies including crocheting, quilting, and ceramics. Later in life, her joy was spending as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren while visiting the Jersey Shore.
The beach and Christmas are 2 things that made her world light up. She held strong to her faith and volunteered with the women’s guild at her home parish. Pat had a heart of gold, a giving kind soul, and lived a life of love and peace for others. She is loved beyond words and will be deeply missed.
A catholic memorial mass is planned for Saturday, September 14th at 11am St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Mifflintown Pennsylvania, with Father Kevin Coyle.
Burial arrangement and date are yet to be determined but will take place in Trenton NJ.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
