OBITUARY for NANCY M. KREIDER

Nancy M. Kreider, 73, of Port Royal, passed away at 1:00 PM, Monday, May 20, 2024, at the William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Lewistown.

Born on December 11, 1950, in Spruce Hill Twp., Juniata County, she is a daughter of the late Glenn R. and Anna Mary (Kirk) Peterson.

On February 21, 1974, she married her surviving husband, Donald R. “Butch” Kreider, with whom she was blessed to share over 50 years of marriage before her passing.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Christina Stegner and her husband Justin of Lewistown, Donald Kreider, Jr. of Port Royal, and Rosanna Wright and her husband Jason of Lewistown; three siblings, Glenda Leach of Middletown, Elroy Peterson and his wife Carol of Mexico, PA, and Brock Peterson of Upland, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Melanie D. Kreider in 1987 and two brothers, Glenn Peterson, Jr. and Alan Peterson.

Mrs. Kreider was a 1968 graduate of Juniata Joint High School in Mifflintown.

Nancy was a proud homemaker and delivered for the Hometown Shopper for several years.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Elliotsburg.

She loved her pets, especially her cats, dogs, and pet rooster and will be remembered for writing condolence letters to those who lost loved ones and encouraging those to look into the Bible to look forward to the resurrection that Jesus promised that would take place in the near future – John 5:28-29.

Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Kreider’s memory can be made to her husband, Donald R. Kreider, 653 Pleasant View Road, Port Royal, PA 17082.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
