OBITUARY for HELEN S. SWARTZ BOYER
HELEN S. BOYLER, 86, formerly of Port royal RR1, died at 6:00 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2003, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, HC 67, Mifflin.
Born March 25, 1916 in Turbett Township, Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Frances [Kerchner] Swartz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Boyer Sr., on July 30, 1995.
Surviving are sons, Harry L. "Son" Boyer, Port Royal, RR1 and Robert B. Boyer Jr., Port Royal; daughter, Mrs. Greg [Alice] Gray, Port Royal RR2; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by a sister; Alice Robinson, and a brother, Harry "Bud" Swartz.
She retired from more than 30 years of service as a seamstress for the former Rae-Sel Corp., Port Royal. She was a 1934 graduate of Port Royal High School.
A member of Port Royal Lutheran Church and Turbett Grange No. 781, she enjoyed gardening.
Her funeral service was held Thursday at Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with Rev. Marton J. Robertson, officiating. Interment was in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
