OBITUARY for NELLIE WALROD BOOK HARDER

MRS. NELLIE HARDER, 89, of Sugarloaf, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 25, 2005 at the residence of her nephew, Donald Book, Prospect Road, Sugarloaf, following a short illness.

Born in Port Royal on September 10, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Lillian (Gray) Book. She spent the past seven years in Sugarloaf after residing for most of her adult life in Harrisburg.

Surviving are: her sister-in-law, Jessie C. Book of Sugarloaf; a nephew, Donald Book and his wife Dorothy of Sugarloaf; a niece, Barbara Mahon and husband Richard of Hughesville; two grand nieces and four grand nephews.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Warren Book.

Prior to retiring, she was employed as the Secretary for the Chief of the Public Utilities Commission, Harrisburg.

She was a member of Harrisburg Presbyterian Church.

Her funeral was held Wednesday, September 28, at the convenience of the family form Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Grove, with the Rev. Brent Book, grandnephew of the deceased, and Mr. Stanley Bower officiating. Burial was in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.

The Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Rock Glen, assisted the family with arrangements.
