George Wisehaupt was the son of Frank and Mary E. "Mae" (Boyer) Wisehaupt. He was a 1940 graduate of Port Royal High School. During World War II he served as an airplane mechanic in the Sub-Depot attached to the 457th Bombardment Group of the Eighth Air Force, Stationed in England
