This building currently serves as the Port Royal Municipal Building. Prior to its current service, it was part of the Tuscarora Valley High School Complex. (The Voc Ag classroom and woodworking shop were located in this building.) The land in front of this building is where the Airy View Academy-Port Royal High School-Tuscarora Valley High School Building was located, but that structure was dismantled in 1973.
The portion of this building closest to Main Street is used for meetings, while the other end of the building is used as a maintenance shop.
The following note appeared in the April 23, 1975 issue of the Port Royal Times: "The Port Royal Borough Building at the corner of Eighth and Main Streets is receiving a face-lift. Plans for remodeling include a new roof and gold aluminum siding. The building was formerly used by Tuscarora Valley High School for industrial arts."
