OBITUARY for CAROL L. HAMBRIGHT
Carol L. Hambright, 76, of Port Royal, passed away at 12:12 p.m., on Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born on June 12, 1945 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she is the daughter of the late William J. and Irene (McNitt) Lugar.
On March 28, 1964, she married her late husband, Jerold R. “Bud” Hambright, Jr, with whom she was blessed to share over 47 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on February 18, 2012.
Surviving are: her children, Rodney J. Hambright and his wife Lisa of Dover, PA, and Kristie I. Bragunier and her husband Mark of Carlisle; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey S. Hambright on September 13, 1984.
Mrs. Hambright was a 1963 graduate of Chief Logan High School in Lewistown.
In earlier life, she was employed as a Seamstress at the Juniata Garment Factory in Mifflin and after that, she was employed and retired with over 15 years of service at Marlette Homes in Lewistown.
Her memberships included being a lifetime member of the Lewistown Moose Lodge #143 and was a Social Member of the Beale Twp. Fire Co. No. 5 in Walnut.
She loved being outdoors, especially in her yard and enjoyed playing bingo, doing puzzles, and traveling and going places with her friend, Ken Shilling; however, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
All services will be private with Interment taking place at Union Memorial Garden in Mifflintown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Hambright’s memory can be made to the Beale Twp. Fire Co. No. 5, 2051 Cider Press Road, Port Royal, PA 17082.
