OBITUARY for CHERYL A. MILLER

Cheryl A. Miller, 60, of Port Royal, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Born on Aug. 29, 1961, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Patricia (Ruble) Williams.

On May 2, 2009, she married her surviving husband, Thomas M. "Mitch" Miller, with whom she was blessed to share more than 12 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Matthew C. Walters and his wife Jenna of Thompsontown, Nicholas R. Walters and his wife Sarah of Port Royal, and Lindsay E. Walton and her husband Tyler of Mexico; two grandchildren, Heath P. Walton and Everett M. Walters; two step-daughters, Amanda King and her husband Brian and Candace Hosler and her husband Jason, all of Port Royal; seven step-grand- children, Shyanne King, Katie King, Kendall King, Carter Hosler, Kenzie Hosler, Tad A. Shellenberger, and Ty P. Shellenberger; one sister, Denise Brubaker and her husband Steve of Seneca, Mo.; and one brother, Paul Williams of Mifflintown.

She was a 1979 graduate of Juniata High School in Mifflintown and in earlier life had attended Port Royal Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Miller was employed as a claims processor with more than 22 years of service and retired from United Concordia in Harrisburg.

Cheryl enjoyed camping, the beach, shopping, yardsaling, and going on cruises; however, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren the most.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Pastor Jeff Henry officiating. Interment will follow at Old Church Hill Cemetery in Port Royal.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Miller?s memory can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 E. Ohio St., Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611.
