OBITUARY for JANE STIMMEL ROBINSON
PORT ROYAL: JANE S. ROBINSON, 94, of RR 2, Port Royal, died 7:23 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at the emergency room of the Lewistown Hospital.
Born Sept. 5, 1913, in Port Royal, she was a daughter of the late William Cloyd and Alba (Miller) Stimmel. Her husband, William F. Robinson, preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1997.
Also surviving are a son, H. Laird Robinson, of RR2, Port Royal; a daughter, Mrs. Ken (Cathy) Bentz, Harrisburg; and three grandchildren, Suzanne Hodge, Alex Robinson and Sarah Watkin.
She was the last of her immediate family, preceded in death by a daughter, Jessie Bennette Robinson; two brothers, J. Robert Stimmel and William C. Stimmel and three sisters, Betty Miller, Ann Hench, and Pauline Zook.
She was a 1932 graduate of the Port Royal High School.
She was a member of the Lower Tuscarora Presbyterian Church, Academia, where she served as an elder, Sunday school teacher and pianist.
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. D. D. "Buddy" Wheat officiating. Interment will be in Lower Tuscarora Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Academia.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal.
