OBITUARY for MARTHA HOCKENBERRY ADAIR

LEWISTOWN: MARTHA J. ADAIR, 77, of 305 S. Pine Road, Lewistown, died at 3:32 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born Jan. 7, 1930, in Beale Township, Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late Bruce W. Sr. and Violet R. (Eby) Hockenberry. Her husband, Harold L. Adair Sr., preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1981.

Surviving are children: James W. Adair and wife, Gail, of RR2, Port Royal, Betty A. Warren and husband, Edward, of Virginia Beach, Va., Brenda S. Klauss and husband, James, of RR1, East Waterford, Harold L. Adair Jr. and wife, Ruby, of Lewistown, Shirley K. Bell and husband, Alan, of RR4, Mifflintown, Carol L. Shirk and husband, Chris, of RR3, Mifflintown, David E. Adair, Alvion, John S. Adair and wife, Trixie, of Mifflin, Brian L. Adair and wife, Catherine, of RR3, Port Royal, Mary C. Phillips and husband, Tim, of Yeagertown; a sister, Shirley Henry and husband, Robert, of Mifflintown, two brothers: Glenn Hockenberry and wife, Edna, of RR1, Port Royal, and Bruce Hockenberry Jr. and wife, Bonnie, of RR2, Port Royal, 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with Pastor Albert Gray officiating. Interment will be at New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.

A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal.
