OBITUARY for ETHEL MADJESKI BERGSTRESSER

ETHEL MADJESKI BERGSTRESSER, 71, of Port Royal, died at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 1993 at her home.

Born April 6,1922 in Elizabeth. NJ, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna [Uryniak] Madjeski. Her husband. Dean E. Bergstrcsser Jr. whom she married February 6,1948, survives.

Also surviving are: brother and sister, Edward Madjeski. Cincinnati, OH, Mrs. Alfred (Emily] Swetley. Elizabeth, NJ.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

She had been the head of the stenographic department of DuPont Heavy Chemical Plant. Linden. NJ. Later, she was a partner in the Mariette Shoppe, Port Royal.

She was a 1939 graduate of Battin High School. Elizabeth, NJ and Drake's Secretarial School, Elizabeth.

She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Mifflintown, the Port Royal Literary Guild and the Lost Creek Golf Course. Oakland Mills.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at St. Jude Catholic Church, Mifflintown, with Rev. John D. Schmalhofer officiating, assisted by Deacon John A. Rocco and Rev. Steven Nelson. Interment was in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal. Rex Funeral Home. Port Royal, was in charge of arrangements.
