OBITUARY for HULDAH R. ‘HUDDIE’ GLENDYE
Huldah R. “Huddie” Glendye, 86, of Lewistown, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at The Golden Living Center-William Penn Nursing Home.
Born Jan. 6, 1930, in Turbett Township, Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Ethel M. (Swartz) Landis.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Edward R. Glendye; two sons, B. Frank Glendye and Rusty Glendye; and siblings, Marlene Fogleman, George Landis, and William Landis Jr.
She is survived by: her son, Jeffery D. Glendye, of Lewistown; and two granddaughters, Sarah E. Glendye and Molly A. Glendye.
Huldah owned and operated Huddies Beauty Salon from 1968 until 1988.
She was a Christian by faith.
Huldah was a longtime member of the Burnham Lion’s Club, and she just loved people.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, at The Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan St., Lewistown.
