Charles Henry Wert was the oldest son of George Lawrence and Laura Agnes (Swartz) Wert. Charles was born in 1895 and died in 1977. He married Maude Gertrude McVey and they had children: Gladys, Dorothy, Jessie, Marlin, Mary, Betty and William.
