Jean F. Kepner, 49, of Mifflintown RR5, died at 1:10 p.m. Friday, May 17, 1996, at her home following an extended illness. Born October 4, 1946 in Turbett Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Neal F. and Kathryn E. [Neff] Hockenberry.

Her husband, David D. Kepner, whom she married July 19, 1964, survives. Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Gerald [Julie] Fulkroad, Mifflintown RR2, Mrs. Scott [Jill] Kerstetter, Mifflintown RR4, Corey D. Kepner, Mifflintown RR2; twin brother, Neal F. Hockenberry Jr., Lewistown; brother, Wayne H. Hockenberry, Newport RRl; sister, Mrs. Robert [Shirley] Yorks, Port Royal RR1; four grandchildren and one stepgrandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, William H. Hockenberry, and a granddaughter, Kristen R. Kerstetter.

She was a bank teller for Juniata Valley Bank at the Port Royal branch.

She was a 1964 graduate of Tuscarora Valley High School, Port Royal.

She was a member of Port Royal Presbyterian Church and was a former secretary for Turbett Township for many years.

Funeral services were held Monday at Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with Rev. Richard E. Wright officiating. Interment was in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 112 N. Wayne Street, Lewistown, PA 17044 or to SUN Home Hospice, 2 Hudson Avenue, Lewistown, PA 17044.
