OBITUARY for ROBERT J. EBY
Robert J. Eby, 88, of Reedsville, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at his home.
Born April 24, 1927, in Port Royal, he was a son of the late Frank H. and Myrtle (Page) Eby.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by: a brother, George Eby; a sister, Anna Mary Smith; and a grandson, Ryan Marks.
He is survived by: his wife, Betty I. (Shellenberger) Eby, whom he married July 27, 1951; daughters, Teresa Marks and husband, Keith, and Kimbra Olmstead, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Christopher Marks, Danielle Olmstead and her companion, David Campbell, Tyler Olmstead, and Tiffany Olmstead and her companion, Darvin Peachey; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He attended Port Royal school.
Bob worked as a lineman at Penelec for 38 years retiring in 1989.
He was a Methodist by faith and attended Yeagertown United Methodist Church.
Bob was a bee keeper for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening and loved being with his Yorkie, Harley.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Heller Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with the Rev. Carola Beasley-Topliffe officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
