Myron L. Heimbach, 93, of Port Royal, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, at Brookline Manor.
Born March 26, 1927, in Wagner, he was a son of the late H. Roy and Mary (Hoffman) Heimbach.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty Ann (Dolan) Heimbach, whom he married Aug. 30, 1950, two daughters, Bonita Jo Glenn and husband, John, and Linda Allen and husband, Lew, all of Port Royal, two brothers, Alton Heimbach and wife, Marie, of New Cumberland and John Heimbach of Lewistown, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Freddie Heimbach, one sister, Florence Knepp Edminston, and one brother, Hervin Heimbach.
Myron graduated from Lewistown High School in 1945.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from Sept. 19, 1950 to Sept. 20, 1952.
He worked at the American Viscose Corporation for 30 years and, after he retired, he worked for Blue Valley Industries.
He was a member of Matamoras United Methodist Church, Union Lodge #324 F&AM, and Harrisburg Consistory.
He liked animals and enjoyed riding his horse and tending to his miniature donkeys. He was a Phillies fan and enjoyed sporting events and especially watching his grandsons play baseball.
His service will be private and held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Jennifer Heikes officiating. Interment will be in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal where full military honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
The family will provide all flowers and asks those who desire to give a memorial contribution to the Matamoras United Methodist Church, in care of Lee Ellen Foose, treasurer, 40 Pine Lane, Port Royal, PA 17082.
