OBITUARY for SARA K. KENEPP

Sara K. Kenepp, 84, passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014.

Born on April 7, 1930, in Port Royal, she was a daughter of the late Jerome and Beulah (Yohn) Shirk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Shirk.

Sara is survived by: her husband, Edward L. Kenepp Sr., whom she married on March 13, 1952; her children, Sharon Warner and husband, Bud, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Michael Kenepp and wife, Lorraine, Sonya Fahringer and husband, Gary, Edward Kenepp Jr. and wife, Luann, all of Lewistown, and Mark Kenepp and wife, Melinda, of Reedsville; a sister, Ruth Ann Yeager and husband, Tom, of Lewistown; a sister-in-law, Elona Shirk, of Port Royal; grandchildren, Matthew Warner and wife, Trisha, January Kenepp, Jeffrey Warner and wife, Stacey, Ryan Kenepp and Jen, Madelyn Kenepp and Max Kenepp; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Warner, Larna Cormack and Trent Warner.

She was a 1948 graduate of Tuscarora Valley High School.

Sara attended White Memorial United Church of Christ.

She loved gardening, flowers and interior decorating. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Dr. James Barnes officiating.

A viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.

There will be a private committal at Pine Glen Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Sara's name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
