This house sits next to the Port Royal Community Building.
Prior to becoming a private residence, this house served as a hotel. It was situated near the tracks of the Tuscarora Valley "TV" Railroad and it was ideally located for housing travelers on that line. It was considered as part of the Moorehead Complex associated with the "TV" Railroad.
During the 1940s and 50s, it was the home of the Clinton and Melissa Bashore family. Eventually it became the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Clinton and Mildred (Fleck) Bashore.
