OBITUARY for BERNADINE M. ‘BERNIE’ BRACKBILL WINSLOW
WESLEYVILLE - Bernadine M. "Bernie" Brackbill Winslow, 92, of Wesleyville, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, Oct. 28, 2013, at home.
She was born Nov. 13, 1920, in Spruce Hill, a daughter of the late Robert S. and Emma N. Kauffman Brackbill. She had resided in the Erie area since 1951.
Bernie was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and sewing. She had previously attended Garden Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Winslow, two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by: her two children, Roxie Lafferty, of Jamestown, N.Y., and Jack (Georgia) Stull , of Belleville; her companion, Norm Baste, of Wesleyville; four grandchildren, Cynthia Lafferty, Brenda Peebles, Connie Rosenberry and Katrina Earnest; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Petkoff, of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no viewing. A private graveside service will be conducted at Volusia Cemetery in Westfield, N.Y.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home Inc. East, 2607 Buffalo Road, Erie.
