OBITUARY for BERNETTE KUNKLE CROZIER

MIFFLIN - Bernette K. Crozier, 85, of 325 Academia Road, went into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 at Locust Grove Retirement Village.

Bernette was born on Jan. 25, 1928, at home on 4th Street (Fairview), Port Royal, Pa. She was the daughter of the late John L. & Rebecca E. Kunkle.

[She was married to Bradford Max "Crow" Crozier who died December 11, 2003.]

She is survived by her twin sister Berniece B. Isenberg of Port Royal and many nieces and nephews. Her brother Brady L. Kunkle died in 1964.

She graduated from Juniata Joint High School in the Class of 1946. She then went on to graduate from the Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing in 1951 as a Registered Nurse. She began her nursing career at Lewistown Hospital and Black's Hospital as an Obstetrical Nurse. Next, she worked at the American Viscose Corporation as an Occupational Nurse, after which she served a number of years as a Shift RN at Brookline Manor Convalescent Center in Mifflintown. Bernette completed her nursing career as a Supervisory RN at the Selinsgrove Center. She also volunteered with the American Red Cross Blood Drives.

Bernette enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, Bible studies, cooking, reading and gardening. She loved her cats and enjoyed quilting and doll making. She was always generous with her time and her resources. She was a member of the A New Beginning Church in Spruce Hill and the Juniata County Library.
