OBITUARY for EDWARD ELMER SHEERER

EDWARD ELMER SHEERER, 76, of 103 Tindale Circle, Longwood, Florida, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001 in Florida.

Born July 8, 1924 in Van Dyke, he was the son of the late Brehman and Lizzie (Derickson) Sheerer.

His wife, Patricia (Cramer) Sheerer, whom he married March 25, 1948, survives.

Also surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Ann) filpski of Willowbrook, Illinois, Mrs Daniel (Mary Pat) McKay of Troy, MI; five sisters, Alma O. Becker of Mexico, Alice L. Gilson of Port Royal, Esther Dumm and Patricia A. Niemond, both of Lewistown, Shirley A. Naylor of Shiremanstown; two grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were: five brothers, Charles E. Sheerer, Jay E. Sheerer, Edgar E. Sheerer, Henry D. Sheerer and Ira W. “Bill” Sheerer; and one sister, Mary S. Herbster.

Mr. Sheerer was a US Veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre.

He was employed by Burroughs Corporation (Unisys) from 1949-1984.

Mr. Sheerer was a Protestant by faith.

National Cremation Society of Beacon Chapter, Winter Park was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Car Account #0107269 of Kee (Kathleen) and Rory Daulton, missionaries in Kenya, Africa, and mailed to Campus Crusade for Christ, P O Box 628222, Orland, FL 32862-8222.
