JESSIE R. REAGAN, 90, formerly of RR2, Port Royal, PA, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Brookline Manor, RR1 Mifflintown
Born July 29, 1915 in Milford Township, Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Bruce Robinson and Frances (Graham) Robinson.
Her husband, James B "Bernie" Reagan, died October 17, 1998.
Surviving are: two daughters Mrs. Larry (Pat) Brubaker of RR2 Port Royal, Mrs. Roy (Fran) King of RR2 Mifflintown; a son, James B. Reagan, III and wife Susan of RR2 Port Royal; a sister, Ann Goffe of Long Beach, CA; eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were four brothers and two sisters
She was a 1933 graduate of the Port Royal High School and had nurses training in East Orange, N. J.
Mrs. Reagan was a Veteran of WW II, having served in the U.S. Navy.
She was a retired registered nurse. She served as a nurse in the US. Navy Nurse Corps and later had worked for the late Dr Stephen Dodd, M.D., Mifflin.
She helped with the Bloodmobile and Meals on Wheels
Mrs. Reagan was a member of the Lower Tuscarora Presbyterian Church, Academia and the General Thomas Mifflin Chapter of the DAR.
Memorial services were held Saturday, April 1 at Lower Tuscarora Presbyterian Church, Academia with Pastor D. D. "Buddy" Wheat officiating. Interment followed in the adjoining church cemetery. Military graveside services were conducted by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, was in charge of the arrangements.
